Dr. Tammy Mondry

Dr. Tammy Mondry, PT, DPT, MSRS, CLT-LANA

Dr. Tammy Mondry has been a licensed Physical Therapist since 1989, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.  She obtained her Master of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions, the Allied Health affiliate of Harvard Medical School. 

Dr. Mondry is a Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist, obtaining her training through the University of Northern Colorado Cancer Rehabilitation Institute.  Dr. Mondry is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and has been board certified by the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) since 2001. 

Dr. Mondry has been a member of many professional organizations such as the National Lymphedema Network (NLN), the International Society of Lymphology (ISL), and the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA).

Klose Training Lymphedema Education

Dr. Mondry is Certified Clinical Instructor for Klose Training, the most respected institution in the field of lymphedema education. She travels the country to teach all aspects of lymphedema care including Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), multi-layered compression bandaging, skin and nail care as well as assessment and use of compression garments.

Medical Advisory Committee

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Leadership for the National Lymphedema Network, Dr. Mondry was appointed to the Medical Advisory Committee for the NLN.  Based on her extensive expertise and commitment to excellence in the field of lymphology, she was an invaluable addition to the team.

During her term, Dr. Mondry will address the following areas: Lymphedema Diagnosis & Treatment, Training of Certified Lymphedema Therapists, and Screening for Lymphedema.

Content Expert

Having extensive training, experience, and expertise in treating lymphedema for over 27 years, Dr. Mondry was a content expert for UpToDate as well as for Teladoc Medical, providing expert clinical opinion and advice regarding challenging lymphedema cases world-wide.

In addition, Dr. Mondry has been published in peer-reviewed journals including CA: A Cancer Journal and Rehabilitation Topics in Geriatrics.

Dr. Mondry has also presented at state, national and international conferences as well as medical schools and physical therapy training programs.
